Hi, everyone! I'm here to share a variation of the card I made in the previous blog post using the Fluttering By stamp set from Little Acres Creations.
I made a top-folding A2 card base (4 1/4 by 5 1/2) and then cut another piece of white cardstock the same size. I ran it through my die cut machine using a roses embossing folder by Sizzix.
After applying powder from my anti-static powder tool onto my vellum (an absolute must when using embossing powder on it), I stamped both butterflies with Versamark ink, applied white embossing powder, and heat set it.
Now comes the fun part: I turned my heat embossed vellum over and used my alcohol markers to color the areas of the butterflies. What a beautifully soft look it gives them!
For the greeting panel, I stamped "Fluttering by to say" with Summer Sky ink from Memento onto a scrap of white cardstock and adhered it to a scrap of pink, which I then glued to the lower left corner. I wanted this card to have that soft, muted look, which I feel I accomplished with this card.
Thank you for stopping by!
