Crocheted Stocking Pattern

Here is a cute and easy pattern for these cute Christmas Stockings, the small one is the Ornament stocking and is perfect for hanging on your tree, or slipping in a small chapstick or lipgloss, or even a bit of money!  I came up with the 'gift card' size which is perfect for a gift card, and even has a little extra room, available.  If you try them, be sure and let me know what your favorite size is!

ORNAMENT SIZE:

Using size G (4.5mm) crochet hook (or preferred size)

Chain 12

Row 3: Chain 2, DC in 4 DC's across, turn (5 DC)

Make 2 Identical, and attach together, using a single crochet (SC) stitch around, with 3 SC in the heel, being careful not to sew across the top of the stocking...leaving a single crochet tab (6 SC) at the back of the stocking, as if to hang.

Attach white (if desired),

Row 1: Single Crochet (SC) around the top of the stocking

Row 2: DC in each SC around, join

Row 3: Chain 3, and slip stitch in every other DC around.

(This is also a fun area to 'do your own thing', with the white yarn)

Sew together, with single crochet around, with 3 SC in the heel,

Being careful not to sew across the top of the stocking...  leaving a single crochet 'tab' (8 SC), as if to hang, at the back of the stocking top.

Attach white (if desired)

Row 1: Single Crochet (SC) around top of stocking

Row 2: DC in each SC around, join

Row 3: Chain 3 and slip stitch in every other DC around.

Row 4: Chain 4 and slip stitch in the chain three space, around.

(This is just what I did, however, this is fun to play around with, you can do all double crochets, for all rows, or go fancier, with a shell shape, etc.)

I hope you enjoy this and if you see any issues with the pattern, please let me know!

Hugs~~Chelle
