I love the Beary Sweet stamp set that's available at Little Acres Creations! It includes an adorable Teddy Bear that can be colored or paper pieced, a stitched heart, a gift, a heart-shaped balloon, a balloon string, and 5 sentiments. You'll be Beary inspired by this set, just like I was!
Here is the card I made using the stamp set. Doesn't the Teddy Bear take you back to your childhood?
To start, I took a piece of 3 3/4 inch by 5 inch white cardstock and taped the "Hearts" stencil from Tim Holtz over it. I applied Distress Inks in Spun Sugar, Tumbled Glass, and Cracked Pistachio through the stencil using the ink blending tool that's also available at Little Acres Creations. I moved the stencil over and repeated the process until my background was finished. I love how the pink and blue blended to give me a light purple shade on some of the hearts! I
Next it was on to the adorable Teddy Bear. I stamped him twice: Once onto white cardstock and again onto a piece of plaid patterned paper. I fussy cut the bear I stamped onto the White cardstock and colored his fur with Prismacolor pencils. Then I cut our the inner ear pieces and the bottoms of his paws from the plaid paper and adhered them to the colored bear. I colored his nose with a red Wink of Stella brush pen and applied Glossy Accents over that to give it the look of a button nose.
To finish off my card, I stamped the stitched heart into a scrap of white cardstock, colored it with the same red marker that I used for his nose, and cut it out. Using foam adhesive, I put the heart between his front paws.
I think my husband will love his Valentine card!
Thanks for stopping by the blog and until next time, stay crafty!
